Life with Ellie

About a month and a half ago we welcomed our newest pup, Ellie. It took us about 10 minutes to say yes to her sweet puppy face. Jack was quiet, calm, lazy and getting fat, according to his vet. Ellie, on the other hand, is crazy hyper. She always has energy. Always. She also has yet to understand we are not morning people, especially on mornings when I go to bed at about 2am. She always wakes up at around 7am to whine. 7:30am if we’re lucky. 6:30am if we’re unlucky (that was this morning. Thanks for the 4 hours of sleep, Ells). Besides being an early riser, she’s also a tail-chaser. She can be seen chasing after her tail multiple times a day. Sometimes she gets lucky and catches it, but usually she just goes round and round. It’s rather entertaining. Matt and I have yet to discover how smart she is. A few weeks ago we caught her making bubbles inside her water bowl, as in half of her face was inside the water bowl. We think she was looking for some hidden treasure. It didn’t really help our assessment. She is sweet though and is always happy.
